komplai developer documentation
Your organisation's systems can use the same tools as the hub through komplai's API: find personal data and pseudonymise text with Redact, send messages to the models in Chat, and get probabilities from Decide. Every call sends an API key and runs on the processing your organisation has approved.
Where to start
- Your first call: Get started takes you from a personal API key in the hub to a call to Redact.
- A system that runs without a person, such as a robot or an integration platform: komplai issues an organisation integration key for Redact. API keys and authentication explains both kinds of key.
- An endpoint: the API reference lists every operation with its fields, code samples and a console to try it.
- An error: every error answer links to its own page, and Errors lists them all.
- Where data goes: Where data is processed.
What you can connect
| Tool | How you connect | Key |
|---|---|---|
| Redact | /v1/redact: find personal data, pseudonymise text, restore the originals and send long documents as text jobs | Personal API key or organisation integration key |
| Chat | /v1/chat/completions and /v1/models, in OpenAI's chat completion format | Personal API key |
| Decide Beta | /v1/decide: typed questions about a text, answered with probabilities | Personal API key |
| Coding Beta | /v1/coding: streamed completions for coding clients | Personal API key |
| Register lookup Beta | An MCP client, at Register lookup's own address | Personal API key with mcp:read |
| Redact in Word | The Word add-in | Sign-in from Word, no key |
Run publishes finished web apps from a file, the terminal or a coding assistant.
A tool marked Beta may still change, and komplai gives notice before it does. Redact's PDF and Word input is in beta too.
Access and data
A key reaches only what your organisation's agreement with komplai covers and what your administrator has assigned to you, and the API checks this again on every call. Without an approved data processing agreement, use test data only: see Test data.
To create a key, sign in to the hub. For API access for your organisation, contact us.
Get started
Create a personal API key in the hub, check it with GET /v1/access and send your first text to Redact.
